Bhavna Punjwani is the Director of the Entrepreneurship Assistance Center (EAC) at the QEDC, where she leads the strategic direction of business training and advisory services for emerging entrepreneurs across New York City. She developed and oversees The Entrepreneur Essentials Series (T.E.E.S.), one of QEDC’s virtual business training programs, aligning it with the evolving needs of NYC’s small business ecosystem.
With over a decade of experience and more than 600 entrepreneurs served, Bhavna specializes in business planning, funding readiness, marketing, and operational strategy. She also supports food and product-based businesses through the Entrepreneur Space commercial kitchen incubator.In addition to running the EAC, Bhavna spearheads cross-agency partnerships and high-impact initiatives, including the launch of AI training workshops for small business owners. She has secured over $1 million in grant funding to expand access to scalable, community-centered business programming.
Bhavna also revamped QEDC’s internship program - streamlining onboarding, aligning intern roles with department needs, and managing intern performance to strengthen organizational capacity. She regularly collaborates across departments to accelerate QEDC’s broader impact goals for Queens and NYC entrepreneurs.Born in Nigeria and fluent in multiple languages, Bhavna holds a BA in Economics and Business from Queens College and remains committed to building equitable pathways to entrepreneurship.
